CO LPCC Supervisors need 3.0 CES by End of August 2023!
If you are an LPCC supervisor in Colorado, perhaps you are already tracking that you need 3.0 CEs in clinical supervision every license renewal cycle, which means every two years. With these changes implemented by DORA in September 2021, we are about to enter our first renewal cycle with a deadline of August 31, 2023!
So far, what this means is attesting that we have our three hours of clinical supervision continued education when we complete our application to renew our license. Similar to the 40 hours of professional development for Licensed Professional Counselors in Colorado, we should have our CE certificates at the ready, should DORA audit us asking for proof of our training requirement being met.
A question we get a lot here at Supervisionary is where people should look for continued education opportunities in clinical supervision. After all, many of us are required to have CEs with this focus to do what we do, not to mention it helps us continue to learn and grow as supervisors and leaders! Below is a list of supervision training resources, which by no means represents an exhaustive list.
