Visionary Supervisor Spotlight: Nicole Sidebottom
We are all about celebrating amazing mental health leaders and clinical supervisors, with plans to highlight one visionary supervisor each month!
This month’s spotlight is Nicole Sidebottom, MA, LPC, ACS
We are grateful to feature you as stellar supervisor! What types of supervision do you offer and to whom?
Individual supervision to LPCCs in Colorado.
What makes you a visionary in supervision?
I am the owner of Nicole Sidebottom Counseling, LLC and a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice in Castle Pines, CO. I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Denver Seminary and have 15 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and families. Supervising and working alongside MA-level clinicians, both seasoned and recently graduated, allows me to aid them in developing their clinical and therapeutic skills. I balance this important skill with meeting client needs from ethical, therapeutic, and empowerment scopes of practice. I excel in balancing the nuance of administrative supervision with clinical oversight, providing my supervisees with an excellent standard in both caring for your own business as well as providing your clients with an exceptional therapeutic experience.
What is your favorite thing about providing clinical supervision?
My favorite thing about providing clinical supervision is seeing a supervisee come into their own as a clinician. The goal is not to make another version of me as a therapist, but to nurture, expand on, and hone the natural gifts each supervisee innately possesses. Having the privilege of witnessing the process a supervisee discovering their sweet spot and working from an authentic place truly is rewarding.
We agree that authenticity is important and powerful in a clinician’s growth process! Where can people find you to learn more about your work?
